The Chairman of Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Lands and other Related Matters, Imo State, Hon Justice Florence Duruoha- Igwe, has lamented on the level of distortion of Owerri master plan.
Speaking when members of the panel visited Governor Hope Uzodinma at the Exco chambers Government House, Owerri, to submit its report, she said the level of the distortion of the master plan of the State capital is colossal, saying it will require a man/government with a lion heart to fix and restore the master plan.
She said while carrying out their assignment, they were propelled by the fact to restore the beauty of the city, stating that history and people of Imo State will judge them harshly if they fail in the onerous task of doing it right.
According to her, the visual evidence indicates that the distortion of the plan was mind boggling.
Governor Uzodinma in his remarks assured the members of the panel that government will critically study the report with a view to doing the needful in the interest of Imo people.
