Enugu records three new COVID-19 deaths, 66 new infections

Three COVID-19 patients reportedly died in Enugu on Wednesday bringing to total nine deaths recorded so far from the virus in the state.

The state Commissioner for health, Dr Ikechukwu Obi also confirmed 66 new infections, saying the development has brought in total 327 cases in the state.

He said that 126 cases have been discharged and 192 still being treated.

Enugu is consequently occupying second place in the southeast zone behind Ebonyi, with Abia and Imo following in the number of cases announced last night by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
