Delta Govt Debunks News Over Robbery In Government House, Reacts To Mugging Of Governor Okowa

The Delta State Government through the office of the Executive Assistant on Communications to the Governor Of Delta State, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has dismissed reports that armed robbers suspected to be assassins gained access to the Government House in Asaba to cause havoc while the Governor slept on May 28th, 2020.

The viral report that was obtained by Secret Reports stated that the robbers who were hired assassins broke into the Governor’s lodge without resistance through a window  and held his family hostage.

The report also stated that security officers were taken unawares as the robbery commenced while the state government is trying to keep it secret.

However, the EAC to Governor, Fred Latimore Oghenesivbein a swift reply alleged blackmail after the author terminated a five year media relationship.

According to him, the publication is a figment of the imagination of the writer and the online news medium.
