Imo State Govt Engages Citizens on refuse disposal,Releases Phone Numbers To Imo residents

In line with the Uzodinma led administration to return Imo to its lost glory,in keeping and maintaining Owerri and environs as the cleanest city and the center of tourism, in the face of rampaging Covid 19 pandemic, the Imo State government, has taken another bold step, to ensure the State capital, Owerri and it’s environs, are free from filth and heaps of refuse.

The State government, through ENTRACO, which has relentlessly demonstrated a burning desire to ensure that the State remains clean through monthly sanitation exercise, and prompt evacuation of refuse across the city, has decided to engage the citizens of the State, in the task of keeping Owerri and the entire State clean.

As part of the new measures designed to ensure active involvement of well meaning citizens of the State in keeping the State,healthy, clean and green, ENTRACO has appealed to the citizens of the State, to report to it anywhere they sight refuse heaps and dumps in the State.

According to a statement by the Commission, it released phone numbers or hot lines which members of the public could call, on sighting refuse heaps, anywhere in the city and environs

The Commission in a statement stated that the task of riding the State of refuse and filth is a collective responsibility for all in the State, noting that citizens of the State, now have crucial roles to play in keeping the State clean and free from filth.
