Ogunfeyimi, the Chief Medical Director of Ondo State Specialist Hospital, Okitipupa, gave the advice while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Okitipupa.NAN reports that Nigeria has recorded 139 cases of COVID-19. Ogunfeyimi said that many people were still ignorant of the existence of COVID-19, adding that his medical team had also educated patients on the scourge of the pandemic. He gave the symptoms of coronavirus as dry cough, common cold, regular sneezing, high fever, flu and above all difficulty in breathing, saying it has a 14-day incubation. “Many still do not believe that coronavirus is real in spite of the sensitisation given out to the public about the pandemic. “We have also educated our staff on its several symptoms in order to guide them when a patient who has contracted COVID-19 visits the hospital. “Let me use this medium to further sensitise them that they should maintain a hygienic environment, wash their hands regularly and use alcohol based sanitisers. “They should also keep social distance, avoid body contacts, shaking of hands and more importantly abide by goverment stay home order to break the chain of infection,” he said.
